Cleaning With Purpose: Who Shine for Good Gives Back To

Shine for Good was created with a purpose that goes beyond cleaning homes.

10% of every cleaning is donated to support adults with disabilities.

This mission is deeply personal to me because of the time I spent working at MARC House in Key West.

During my time there, I had the privilege of working alongside and getting to know some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. The clients weren’t simply people I worked with—they were people who made an impact on me.

They taught me about kindness, patience, individuality, humor, and the importance of creating a life where everyone has the opportunity to feel valued and included.

I went into that experience thinking I would be the one making a difference.

Instead, they made a difference in me.

Why This Matters to Shine for Good

Adults with disabilities deserve opportunities to live meaningful, fulfilling lives, build connections, develop independence, and participate in their communities.

But creating those opportunities takes support.

That’s where I want Shine for Good to play a small part.

Every time someone books a cleaning with Shine for Good, they’re not just paying someone to clean their home. They’re helping contribute to something bigger.

Ten percent of every cleaning goes toward supporting the MARC house clients.

It’s a simple idea:

You get a clean home. Someone else gets a little more support.

The People Behind the Mission

The clients I met at MARC House are a big part of why this mission matters so much to me.

I remember the relationships, the personalities, the laughs, and the little moments that made working there so special.

They weren’t defined by their disabilities.

They were people with their own interests, personalities, goals, senses of humor, frustrations, strengths, and dreams—just like anyone else.

That experience stayed with me long after I left.

When I started thinking about creating my own cleaning business, I knew I wanted it to have a purpose beyond simply providing a service.

That’s where Shine for Good was born.

I don’t believe you have to completely change the world to make a difference.

Sometimes it starts with something small.

One cleaning.

One client.

One donation.

And then another.

My hope is that Shine for Good can continue growing so that the impact grows with it.

Because cleaning someone’s home might seem like a small thing—but when we connect that service to something meaningful, it becomes so much more.
